We have our Optional Training as normal, Check Google Classroom for the Meeting ID's, and passwords to join.

We are missing some Detailed Health Questionnaires'.  These were last sent out on Nov 25th, 2020.  These are important documents that are specific to each person.  If you believe that you missed sending yours in please contact us at 533rcacs@gmail.com, and we will send you directions on how to proceed. 

Aviation Month Activities - We have scheduled some activities and challenges for Aviation Month.

Aviation Month Challenge by Level - Each level is required to come up with a aviation themed challenge.  These challenges will be presented by Level on the last Thursday of the month (Jan 28th, 2021) 

Some examples are …

- Build a Aerodrome
- Build a plane
- Design and build a Aircraft
- Gain hours on a simulator

The Sky is the limit.  We look forward to seeing what you have come up with.

Survival Month Activities - We have scheduled some activities and challenges for Survival Month.

Survival Day - 20 Feb 2021 - Classes and possible materials will be posted in Google Classroom.

There will be no classes at the community hall as previously announced, until further notice.

Next week’s Parade is Regular Virtual Training Night (Jan 28th, 2021) so Cadets are to be in Winter Dress, and will be partaking in regular classes via Zoom. If you are unsure please go to the Order of Dress page.

Glider & Power Scholarship Candidates - Scholarship Prep Boards Dates and Times will be announced shortly.

Does your Uniform fit?  Do you have a Uniform? Please look at the video on our Measuring Your Uniform page of how to size your uniform and fill in the request sheet. Email it to us and we will get working on it and contact you when it is ready.  We have started to receive many uniform parts, so send us those measurements, and we will get to work.

Calling all Level 5's

We have information on the Level 5 Workshop.  This is for all Level 5 cadets that have not previously attended a Level 5 workshop.  Please update your email's with Lt Fillipchuk, your deadline is Jan 21st, 2021.  This will be held Virtually February 27-28, 2021, 0745 - 1230 hrs each day.

We will have a Squadron Workshop for ALL Level 5's Saturday Jan 30th, 2021.  0900 hrs to 1200 hrs; details are posted in Google Classroom.

We have also sent you a digital copy of your Level Handbooks in Google Classroom.

Virtual Christmas Music Concert - put on by the Royal Canadian Artillery Band, lead by Captain Embree.

This will take place on Friday Dec 11th, 2020 starting at 1700 hrs.

12 Days of 533 RCACS' Virtual Cadets - Each day from December 4th to December 15th we will post in Google Classroom a new day.  Post your pictures to the Google Classroom assignment or email them with your Rank, Last Name, First Name, and the Day of the Challenge; with explanation; to 533rcacs@gmail.com.

Virtual Cadet Christmas Party - Thursday December 17th, 2020

Make sure you wear your favorite Christmas Sweater.  Don't forget your Minute to Win it Christmas items, check the Google Classroom post to see what they are. We will also announce the winners of the 12 Days of 533 RCACS' Virtual Cadets.

There will be no classes at the community hall as previously announced, until further notice.

Next week’s Parade is Regular Virtual Training Night (Dec 17th, 2020) so Cadets are to be in Civilian Attire, and are encouraged to wear their favorite Christmas Attire (Cadet Appropriate). If you are unsure please go to the Order of Dress page.

Glider & Power Scholarship Candidates - There are some new requirements for those that wish to apply, please click here to check the information in Google Classroom.  The dates have also been set for the GPTC and PPTC Qualifying exams. Any cadets wishing to write these Qualifying Exams must email Lt Fillipchuk on or before December 17th, 2020.  If you are unsure of the Eligibility requirements click here to get the information from Google Classroom.

  • Dec 3rd, 2020 we will be starting trials of ‘Tech Talks’, the first episode will be an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor from 17 Wing Winnipeg. If you are interested in this please log into the regular Thursday Cadet Meeting at 1755 hrs

  • The order of dress for next week is winter dress
  • A uniform measuring video and form were sent out via google classroom last week.  If you do not have a uniform or have outgrown part of your current uniform please complete the form and email it to the sqn.

Nov 5th, 2020 - Announcements

  • Virtual Paint Day is Saturday November 7th 1400 - 1600 hrs
    • Please ensure that you got picked up your supplies.
      • PAINT (Acrylic): Red, Yellow, Phthalo Blue (Dark), Ultramarine Blue (Light), Dioxazine Purple (Blue tint), and White!
      • CANVAS: We are a 8 x 10 but you can use ANY size.
      • BRUSHES: #12 flat #6 bright, #6 round, #1 round, #8 filbert
        • Container with water
        • Paper towels
        • Pencil
        • Apron (or clothes you don’t mind potentially getting messy in!)
  • Band - Monday on Zoom, 1830 -2000 hrs
  • Ground School - Tuesday on Zoom, 1830 - 2030 hrs
  • Effective Speaking is cancelled on Wednesday November 11th.
  • For those cadets that have outgrown their uniform or haven’t been issued on yet we will be sending out through google classroom how to measure for your uniform and sheet to fill in to record your measurements.
    • It is due back by 12 November
  • November 11th, 2020 our Virtual Remembrance Day on Zoom 1030-1200hrs.
    • Please wear your full uniform.

  • November 12th, 2020 - Our Virtual Fitness Day
    • Please have a water bottle and room to participate.
    • Please be in PT Clothes
  • In-person training begins on 19 November. If you prefer not to participate in the in-person training there will still be virtual training every Thursday as well.
    • Level 1- 19 Nov. This will be for all level 1 cadets and also all cadets that are new to the air cadet program. This means that if you started in the program in October but are currently in level 2 or level 3 you will still attend this night. Your uniform will be issued and you will be taught how to wear it. There will also be a review of the drill that you have learned virtually.
    • Level 2- 10 December
    • Level 3- 3 December
    • Level 4- 26 November
    • Level 5- 26 November. There is a mandatory leadership class for all level 5 cadets.
  • WO2 Merit Review Boards- the squadron will be having in-person WO2 merit review boards this evening. It is open to all FSgt’s. There will be merit board assistance on 1 December and 8 December from 2000-2100 hrs for any FSgt that would like some assistance with their board prep.
